1.215.432.540 shares, with the nominal value of 0,1 euros, representative of the share capital of BANCO POPULAR ESPAÑOL, SA will be admitted to listing on Eurolist by Euronext Lisbon. The continuous trading of Banco Popular Espanol will start at 10:30, Lisbon time (11:30 CET), and the pre-opening will start, as usual, at 06:15 Lisbon time (07:15 CET). Moreover, the 1st fixing of Banco Popular Español’s shares admitted to listing on Eurolist by Euronext Paris will take place at 10:30 Lisbon time (11:30 CET). Pursuant to article 204, nr. 3 of the Securities Code, said shares are fungible, and they are registered with Iberclear. The connection with Interbolsa is made through a financial intermediary for liaison. The settlement procedure of the stock market transactions will take place in the same terms as it does regarding the other securities registered with Interbolsa.
Operation description

Faz-se público que, no próximo dia 26 de Janeiro de 2006, serão admitidas à negociação, no Eurolist By Euronext Lisbon, 1.215.432.540 acções, de valor nominal 0,1 euros, representativas da totalidade do capital social BANCO POPULAR ESPAÑOL, SA.

A negociação em continuo do Banco Popular Espanol terá inicio às 10:30, hora de Lisboa (11:30 CET), iniciando-se o período de pré-abertura, como de costume, às 06:15 (07:15 CET).

Importa ainda mencionar que, a primeira chamada relativamente à transacção das acções do Banco Popular Espanol admitidas à negociação no Eurolist by Euronext Paris, será às 10:30 hora de Lisboa (11:30 CET).

Nos termos do disposto no nº 3 do artigo 204º do Código de Valores Mobiliários, as acções da referida sociedade são fungíveis, encontrando-se integradas no Iberclear, sendo a ligação à Central de Valores Mobiliários assegurada por intermédio de um contrato de interligação, pelo que a liquidação de operações de bolsa se processa nos termos aplicáveis aos demais valores aí integrados.
