Plattsburgh, New York – 11 June 2026 - Norsk Titanium, a global leader in
structural titanium additive manufacturing, today announced it has received
nearly $4.2 million in a contract investment from the Office of the Assistant
Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy in support of the Defense Industrial
Base Expansion, Development, and Growth Enterprise (DIB-EDGE) initiative.
DIB-EDGE aims to advance next-generation manufacturing capabilities focused on
revitalizing U.S. maritime and submarine industrial capacity. This investment
funds development activities related to Rapid Plasma Deposition® (RPD®) over the
18-month term of the contract.
The award represents another significant milestone for Norsk Titanium and
reinforces the strategic importance of its proprietary RPD® technology in
enabling high-performance titanium components for mission-critical environments.
The contracted effort will focus on qualification of Norsk Titanium products in
highly critical applications and supports continued expansion of RPD® in markets
not only for titanium alloys, but also nickel-based alloys.
“Norsk Titanium is proud to support the U.S. Department of War through this
important program and to play a role in strengthening the submarine industrial
base,” said Fabrizio Ponte, CEO of Norsk Titanium.

About Norsk Titanium:
Norsk Titanium is a global leader in metal 3D printing, innovating the future of
metal manufacturing by enabling a paradigm shift to a clean and sustainable
manufacturing process. With its proprietary Rapid Plasma Deposition® (RPD®)
technology and installed production capacity to generate annual revenues of
approximately USD 300 million, Norsk Titanium offers cost-efficient 3D printing
of value-added metal parts to a large addressable market. RPD® technology uses
significantly less raw material, energy, and time than traditional
energy-intensive forming methods, presenting customers with an opportunity to
better manage input costs, logistics, and environmental impact. RPD® printed
parts are already flying on commercial aircraft, and Norsk Titanium has gained
significant traction with large defense and industrial customers.
