Grønn Vekst awarded large contract for garden waste and biosolids handling in Western Norway

Asker, Norway, 16 January 2026
Minorga Vekst AS, a 50/50 joint venture between Grønn Vekst AS and IVAR Næring
AS, has been awarded a multi-year contract by IVAR IKS for the reception,
treatment and disposal of garden waste and biosolids in Rogaland.
IVAR IKS is an inter-municipal company owned by 12 municipalities in the
Stavanger region, providing water, wastewater and waste management services to
about 370,000 inhabitants.
Minorga Vekst draws on Grønn Vekst’s organisation for management, operations,
quality, and research and development, complemented by established
subcontractors in the region. Under the contract, Minorga Vekst will handle
reception and quality control of garden waste, shredding and composting, and
logistics.
Building on Grønn Vekst’s existing infrastructure and supply chains, the
biosolids product will be used in agriculture and soil production, enabling the
establishment of local peat-free bulk soil production in Rogaland under the
Grønn Vekst brand. Annual volumes include about 12,000 tonnes of garden waste
and 10,000 tonnes of biosolids.
Service delivery starts in January 2026 and runs for five years. IVAR IKS holds
two unilateral extension options of two years each. Grønn Vekst’s share of the
total contract value, including options, is higher than NOK 100 million; which
Cambi categorises as a “Large” contract.
Bernd Anders Keller, CEO of Grønn Vekst, said:
“We are pleased with this award, which demonstrates Grønn Vekst’s ability to
deliver large contracts together with strong regional partners. Through Minorga
Vekst we will ensure high-quality handling of garden waste and biosolids in
cooperation with IVAR, while establishing professional peat-free soil production
in Rogaland.”
Since Minorga Vekst is jointly managed and not controlled by Cambi, it is
accounted for under the equity method, meaning the joint venture’s financial
performance will not be consolidated into Cambi’s accounts. Cambi will instead
recognise its share of Minorga Vekst’s net result.

About Cambi
Cambi is a global supplier of biogas technologies and solutions for wastewater
treatment and anaerobic digestion. Since 1992, the company has maintained market
leadership through continuous innovation and a portfolio of proven and patented
technologies. Cambi’s thermal hydrolysis process increases renewable energy
output, reduces operating costs and minimises greenhouse gas emissions.
Grønn Vekst, part of Cambi’s Solutions segment, recycles waste fractions from
Norwegian municipalities and industry, including wastewater solids, garden waste
and stonemeal. From these resources it produces high-quality compost-based soil
products that substitute peat-based soils, returning nutrients and carbon to the
ground. Grønn Vekst is Norway’s largest producer of bulk and peat-free soils,
operates across 24 sites, and is a leading wastewater solids recycling company.
Cambi is listed on Euronext Growth Oslo, a multilateral trading facility in
