Reference is made to the Oslo Stock Exchange release of 14 December, 2023
regarding the agreement to sell 100% of Telenor Pakistan (private) Limited to
Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd (PTCL).
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has today issued its “No
Objection Certificate” for the change in ownership control of Telenor Pakistan
to PTCL. This concludes the regulatory approvals required for the transaction.
The sale of Telenor Pakistan is expected to be completed as soon as possible,
when the final legal requirements are fulfilled. As a consequence, as of the
fourth quarter 2025 report, Telenor Pakistan will be accounted for as
discontinued business.
