OSLO, Norway – May 16, 2024 – Agilyx ASA (OSE: AGLX; OTCQX: AGXXF) (“Agilyx” or
“the company”), a technology company that enables customers to recycle the most
challenging post-use plastics to high value, virgin-equivalent products, today
announced changes to its board, including the appointment of Peter Norris as
board chair. Former board chair, Jan Secher, has resigned from the board. These
changes are effective immediately, following the company’s annual general
meeting (AGM). Please see the minutes from the AGM attached.
Peter Norris, who has been elected as Chair of the Board of Directors, has over
40 years’ experience in investment banking and business management. He worked at
Barings and Goldman Sachs, before establishing his own corporate finance
business which in 2007 he merged with the AIM listed merchant bank Quayle Munro,
subsequently acquired by Houlihan Lokey. Mr. Norris also serves as the Chairman
of the Virgin Group, a position he took up in 2009. Prior to this he had acted
as an adviser to the Group from 1996 and had chaired Virgin Active from 2002 to
2007. He also currently chairs Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Hotels. Mr. Norris
previously served as board chair of Agilyx from July 2020 to October 2022.
Mr. Norris and his fellow board members have all been elected for a two-year
term that expires at the annual general meeting in 2026. The Agilyx Board of
Directors now consists of Peter Norris (Chair), Ranjeet Gill Bhatia, Carolyn
Sarah Clarke, Catherine Clinton Keenan, and Steen Jakobsen.
“I would like to take the opportunity to thank Management and my fellow board
members for the excellent cooperation during my tenure as chairman of the board.
The transformation of the company to capitalize on the excellent positioning in
feed stock management while continuing to pursue success in the chemical
conversion space is truly exciting. I wish the company all the best for a
promising future,” said outgoing Chairman, Jan Secher.
“I would like to extend my thanks to Jan, on behalf of myself as well as the
wider Company for his leadership and guidance as Chairman of the Board,” said
Russ Main, Interim CEO. “I am also pleased to welcome back Peter to the position
of board chair. His extensive experience and skilled leadership will be welcome
as we continue to pursue new opportunities and position Agilyx for future
growth.”
About Agilyx
Agilyx ASA is a technology company that enables customers to recycle
difficult-to-recycle post-use plastics to high value, virgin-equivalent
products. With a focus on diversion and conversion of plastic waste, Agilyx is
uniquely positioned with a molecular recycling technology offering and an
integrated feedstock solution by way of Cyclyx, an innovative feedstock
management consortium of partners that drives up global plastic recycling rates
by chemically fingerprinting plastic waste and matching it to appropriate
recycling processes. Agilyx was the first to establish a commercial scale closed
loop plastic-to-plastic chemical recycling facility and holds over 17 patents.
Agilyx conversion technology utilizes pyrolysis without a catalyst and can
convert mixed waste plastic to naphtha and fuels or depolymerize specific
plastics such as polystyrene and PMMA (acrylic) back into virgin- quality
products. Learn more at www.agilyx.com.
