BEWi ASA
BEWI, a leading provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions,
today announces that the company has entered into a long-term strategic
agreement with the Karl Bachl Group ("Bachl") for the supply of EPS raw
material, including recycled EPS.
"We are very pleased to enter this partnership with Bachl. Not only will Bachl
become one of our largest external customers, and therefore important to
securing offtake of volumes, but together we share the ambition to work for a
circular economy. Both companies continuously search for more sustainable
solutions," says Alan Moss, EVP and head of BEWI's raw materials division.
The German company Bachl was founded in 1926 and is owned by Karl Bachl and his
family. The group has grown to become one of the largest German suppliers of
insulation solutions, with approximately 3 000 employees. The company offers
insulation solutions mainly from EPS, XPS and mineral wools.
Delivery of raw material has started in September 2023, with gradual ramp-up
towards the end of 2024.
BEWI RAW is a leading provider of various EPS raw materials, including white and
grey expanded polystyrene (EPS), various grades of recycled EPS, general purpose
polystyrene (GPPS), in addition to Biofoam, a fully biobased particle foam.
