Review of financial reporting - Statnett SF
25 Sep 2023 16:45 CEST
Finanstilsynet has reviewed certain matters related to the financial reporting
of Statnett SF.
When reviewing the company's financial statements for 2022, Finanstilsynet has
identified a discrepancy between the financial statements in XHTML format (ESEF
reporting) and the financial statements published in PDF format.
The discrepancy pertains to information regarding uncertain tax positions in an
ongoing tax case, where parts of the information about the tax case that are
presented in the financial statements published in PDF format are not present in
the financial statements in XHTML format.
Statnett agrees with Finanstilsynet that there is a discrepancy in the text in
note 19 in the financial statements in XHTML format compared to the financial
statements in PDF format. However, the company's assessment is that the lack of
information in note 19 in the financial statements in XHTML format is not
material.
In Finanstilsynets view, it is unfortunate that there is a discrepancy between
the financial statements in XHTML format and the financial statements published
in PDF format. If a company, in addition to the XHTML format annual report,
publishes the annual report in other formats, Finanstilsynet is of the opinion
that the reports should have the same content. Finanstilsynet, however, takes
note of the company's assessment, where it is concluded that the matter is not
material.
With this letter, Finanstilsynet closes the review.
Finanstilsynet's letter is available in Norwegian only.
